Subject Winter King

Tuesday February 9th 20201 I will give a workshop/demo from 19:30 – 20:30.

Because it is still winter I would like to sign a Winter King with you this time. An inconspicuous bird with brown feathers. How can you give that colour? Step by step I will take you through the drawing process.  If you are very insecure, you can print out the photo I send you 1 day in advance and copy it in advance. That will save you some nerves! Also remember that it is a process, don’t set the bar too high. Every time we learn more.

I’m going to make a drawing and in the meantime I’ll tell you about what I’m drawing.
There will be enough time for you to draw at home.
I can’t guarantee that the drawing will be finished after an hour.

You have one week to send me a photo of the drawing once via Whatsapp 061362058, or email loes@loesbotman.nl. Then I will look into it and send you an answer. In the hope that you will find inspiration again.
The day before the workshop I will send you an email.
In that email I will also send you the photo that I will use to make the drawing.
I will also send you a link of the workshop in that email.
When you click on the link, about 5 minutes before the start of the workshop, you can follow my workshop on Youtube. That is self-explanatory. You don’t need anything special.
This workshop is also about gaining knowledge about pastel chalk. Practicing with pastel chalk.
And I will try to give more information by looking at other artists and showing examples.

What do you need?

– Canson Mi teintes Touch sand colour. Please note that is the paper I use during this workshop. You are completely free to use your own paper. This paper has a structure that not everyone likes.
-A good start is 30 half crayons from Rembrandt ‘General Selection’.
– A thin charcoal or a pastel pencil.
-Fixative for pastel chalk (Talens b.v.)
– A cloth or a piece of kitchen paper.
Use the materials you already have. The result will be different then. It is your work.
I don’t want to oblige anyone to buy materials. Do what you feel comfortable with.

Online workshop in your own language

This online workshop can be automatically, almost synchronously, translated by Youtube into the language of your choice. The translation appears as a text bar at the bottom of the image. In the email you receive 1 day in advance, you will find an explanation on how to do this.

Review of the online workshop

The workshop can still be viewed 24 hours after the online workshop. If you would like to make use of this, please contact me via my email, loes@loesbotman.nl. After the online workshop I will send you the link on which you can check it for another day. Youtube still needs to archive the information after the online workshop and needs some time to do so.

But I will send you the link as soon as possible.

Course conditions

Registration and payment

Participation in a workshop or course is only final once your payment has been received. If you have registered, but the payment is not made within 48 hours before the start of the workshop or course on the bank account of Loes Botman, the registration will expire.

Workshops and courses will only take place if there are sufficient registrations. If a workshop or course does not take place, you will be informed by e-mail at the latest 1 day before the workshop or course starts. Of course you will receive the paid amount for participation back.

Cancellation and cancellation

Loes Botman reserves the right to cancel a course or workshop at any time. I will do everything in my power to prevent this from happening, but when this happens the registered participants of the workshop/course in question will be refunded the amount paid.

In the unlikely event that you are unable to attend, you can unsubscribe up to two weeks before the start of the course. In that case we have to charge you € 10,00.

If you unsubscribe within two weeks before the start of the course, we will be obliged to charge you half of the course amount.

If you cancel on the day of the course, you will owe the full amount.

Liability

During the workshops and courses we sometimes work with materials that can deposit on your clothing or belongings. You are responsible for this. So take into account the clothes you put on.

Loes Botman accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to property of participants, nor any liability for events during the workshops or courses.
